A small group meditation community of exploration and support
Transformation and Courage Meditation Salon is a brand-new program from PTCI designed for dedicated meditation practitioners … and those who would like to be!
In a relaxed, informal, nurturing home space, you will have the opportunity to be inspired and supported by like-minded meditation seekers. You will deepen your understanding of the many traditions, approaches, meditation experiences and daily impact meditation can have in your life. You will witness the transformative power of meditation in creating a purpose-filled and mindful daily life.
There are as many meditation and mindfulness approaches as there are meditators. Yet, all contemplative practices share common ground as well. In the Transformation and Courage Meditation Salon, you will have the opportunity to share your “root” meditation practice, and the methods and tradition it is based upon. You will also share your insights and experiences along your meditation journey to wholeness. You will learn from other dedicated practitioners, whose meditation practices hold the promise of enhancing and deepening your own current meditation approach.
What is a “Salon”?
A Salon is a gathering of purposeful, committed people to stimulate and inspire each other. The most famous salons have been artistic, literary, and philosophical ones, often attended by famous and accomplished persons gathering in the home of a facilitator and leader in their field. In that same spirit, we are pleased to extend an invitation to those who have had experience with personal transformation and perhaps the language of PTCI’s programs. We will gather monthly for the first half of the year and discover how we can support, encourage and inspire each other’s inner life by open-hearted sharing and open-minded listening to what’s working in our own spiritual path.
What can you expect?
You will discover anew that we are all teachers and guides to each other. What each of us has learned along the path of transformation and personal spirituality has the power to inform, inspire and encourage others in the group.
There will be time during each session for socializing and connecting with others in the group. However, most of the session will be dedicated to talking about teachings, exploring meditation practice approaches, and sharing insights and wisdom born of our meditation experiences and applied in our daily lives.
We will take time to meditate together, experimenting with new contemplative practices. We will set personal and group intentions and commitments to further test new contemplative practices over the upcoming month. Over the course of the program, we will create a spiritual family where we can openly share deeper understanding that emerges. At the same time, we will treat honestly and openly the set-backs and questions that arise because for everyone growth and meditation involve working with and though challenging ups and downs.
What are the goals by the end of the multi-month period?
- To deepen your own meditation practice … or begin to engage a daily meditation practice.
- To awaken a new appreciation for your own “root” practice – the way of meditation that most deeply resonates for you – by sharing it with others and by listening in an open-hearted and open-minded way to the meditation practices of others in the group.
- To learn new contemplative practices and specific meditation methods shared by other members of the group.
- To share your own emerging understanding and experiences with spirituality, meditation, and living more mindfully.
