At the Personal Transformation and Courage Institute, you will find dedicated professionals who have years of experience and training to help you make purposeful changes in your personal and professional life. We will support you in recognizing and constructively working with emotional and mental blocks. By transforming those limitations you can find and fulfill your highest potential.
Through our time-tested, awareness-building exercises, we will guide you in building enhanced capacity to live a creative, productive, and meaning-filled life – both personally and professionally. Our offerings will help you to cultivate a life of greater resilience for operating in our modern, ever-changing, and uncertain world.
Since its creation 23 years ago in 2000, our non-profit educational organization has offered individual mentoring and coaching, small group workshop intensives, and online community gatherings for people across the world.
All of our programs are based on four Principles:
- The transformational impact that comes from identifying and committing to what is important about you and what is important to you – your Ideals and values;
- The well-being enhancement that comes from remembering and applying your Ideals and values in your personal and professional life through mindfulness practices;
- The emotional balance and stamina that comes from recognizing and meeting personal and professional challenges through building greater resilience;
- The expanded sense of meaning and purpose that comes from claiming and using your unique mix of talents and strengths to promote a new way of being in your personal and professional life.
Our three founders have dedicated their own lives to the same kind of transformative work through which we guide participants in our programs. Dr. Rudolf Wilhelm was a physician, visionary leader, and transformative coach to countless individuals. He guided the creation of PTCI before his passing soon after our formation. Mary Elizabeth Lynch is a university educator, meditation teacher, and attorney/mediator with a specialization in transformative resilience. Mark Thurston is also a university educator, psychologist, and author of books about dream psychology, the cultivation of one’s free will, and systems of practice for personal transformation. You can read more about Mary Elizabeth and Mark’s personal and professional credentials in the section entitled “Course Leaders”
Our programs and offerings have evolved over the more than two decades of our work. Most recently, our focus has become individual work, usually conducted via video conferencing, so as to make PTCI available without geographic limitations.
See the section entitled “Offerings” for the details about our programs that can help you grow into your best self.
