Three Paths of Transformation
Transformational change leads us to a radically new sense of ourselves and our place in the world. Such a change takes courage, plus a roadmap that can guide the journey of transformation. This course explores three such roadmaps that come out of ancient traditions of inner development. Each of these paths draws upon a distinct approach to mindfulness and practical steps to transformation.
First is the Path of Perfection - awakening to our talents and spiritual gifts that allow us to work constructively with the challenges and opportunities that life presents to each of us.
The second path is the Path of Renunciation - the challenge to purify our attitudes, emotions, and body - that is, to purge ourselves of obstacles that stand in the way of living our spiritual gifts. The Path of Renunciation involves releasing things that no longer serve us.
Third, and usually depicted as the most difficult and yet most direct, is the Path of the Poison Pill, also known as the Path of Alchemy. This approach teaches us to face the shadow side (i.e.,"the poison pill") of our attitudes, emotions, and physical drives. Working with the shadow side we learn to re-constellate it and use that energy to gain a greater understanding of ourselves and our presence in the world.
This three-day self-exploration program will be an intense but highly supportive adventure which will help you:
- Identify your current primary path and how you can use the other two pathways to support you on your journey,
- Explore in an experiential way the features of the three paths, and see what they offer in the way of guidance in daily life and our personal transformation process,
- Deepen your experience of meditation and mindful living, and
- Discover key insights about yourself and help you gain a greater understanding of other people and how they grow and change.
