Transforming Businesses - That's Also What We Do
Ideal Consulting offers unique exercises and techniques to assist business owners and leaders in creating personal and organizational Ideals, identifying strengths, developing self-leadership skills and facilitating team communication. In the context of a business, an Ideal can be thought of as the motivating qualities or values behind a company’s mission statement--the essence of the organization.
Our workshops increase self-awareness, teach whole brain thinking and focus on what is working well to ensure a strong and solid foundation on which to grow and prosper.
Using the groundbreaking technique of systems constellations together with carefully constructed exercises designed to facilitate insight and honest dialogue, our experiential learning workshops enable leaders to gain clarity, employ creativity, strengthen integrity and develop resiliency--in essence, to build capacity to “walk the talk”.
At the present time, we are working primarily with small businesses. Our business model requires that we work with the “top of the house”, as senior management buy-in sets the tone for the whole organization. As we all have experienced, any disconnect between what business leaders say and what they do is a main source of cynicism and discontent in the workplace. Part of our Ideal is to work with clients who have well-functioning organizations and also desire to reach their full potential in order to grow from “good enough” to “inspirational”.
One of our initial clients, Edie Fischer, owner and sole proprietor of Hot Yoga and Massage in Newport News (see profile, page 24), reports that her 2012 planning has been energized and focused as a result of her work with Ideal Consulting. Hot Yoga was able to create its company Ideal as well as articulate its strengths and values. From this vantage point, Edie was then able, through further experiential exercises, to ascertain the best way forward regarding the upcoming 500 hour training program that Hot Yoga will be offering. Edie says, “The exercises Mary Elizabeth, Jane and Wendy led me through really got my brain moving in the right direction. The work I did with PTCI Ideal Consulting helped me to move forward with my new program with confidence.”
Hot Yoga’s “Beyond Asana” 500 hour RYT training will include an in-depth study of traditional yoga with renowned philosopher Dr. Graham Schweig, Ph.D.; fun and easy to learn anatomy with Caroline Clark Rivera, M.A., M.S., Ph.D. Candidate, R.Y.T. and creating your own yogic business plan with Edie Fischer, E-RYT 500.
